Tax Fact: Do Not Give Out Your Personal Information
Red Rock Tax Accountant

I feel like I need to touch base on this subject again… “Do Not Give Out Your Personal Information”

My financial establishment, along with many others, are receiving reports of criminals who are contacting individuals directly, claiming to be from the CDC, state, or other local authorities. Additionally, scammers are posing as representatives from the financial institutions in an attempt to trick people into divulging sensitive information about their accounts.

Keep your information safe- NEVER share your account information with anyone. This includes card numbers, Card personal identification numbers(PINs), usernames, Secure access Codes, and all other sensitive information.

Please be aware that financial establishments will not ask for your personal information over the phone, through a text, or through emails. Any request to share your bank account information- from an unsolicited contact- IS FRAUD! My personal worry is our elderly folks and our young adults.

Please share this information with your loved ones. With everything that is going on in our world, today, we need to not become complacent, we need to be on our toes and help those around us to do the same.
